I bought a fake coral for $ 49 at Petco. It was a beautiful orange coral.

After about 6 months is black and looks terrible.

How can the black, although they do not poison the fishes water?

I think I read somewhere to use Clorox, but I can not .... seems to be toxic.

Chiclids I have a freshwater aquarium.
